Central defender Mark Beevers scooped the Wickes Coca-Cola Championship young apprentice of the year award on Sunday night at the Football League Awards ceremony in
Beevers was short-listed for the coveted accolade along with five fellow Championship youngsters- Mark Devonshire (Barnsley),
Along with the award Beevers has netted himself holiday vouchers and also £5,000 for the Owls academy in recognition of their help in his development.
The 18-Year-old made his debut in January 2007 and has become a regular at centre-back this season with his fine displays earning him a recent call-up to the England Under-19's squad.

Beevers has shown in a short space of time that he has the potential to emulate Gunter's success and hopefully he can do this with the Owls.
