Brunt boost ahead of Lions game

Brunt, who previously was contracted until the end of next season, has penned a contract to keep him at Hillsborough until 2008.

The Northern Ireland international has been consistent this season and has added regular goalscoring and more awareness to his game.

Brunt most likely will be played back in his familiar position of left-midfield tomorrow as John Hills is suspended, so Richie Partridge should come in on the right.

Paul Sturrock may also change things in attack and may bring in Barry Corr or Leon Best to start and hopefully add some much-needed goals to Wednesday's play.

Steve MacLean, who has missed the bench in the last few games, will be keeping his fingers crossed that he plays some part at the New Den.
