But the club captain is set to be recalled to replace the suspended Frankie Simek, who has accumulated five yellow cards and will have to sit out the trip to Vicarage Road.
Paul Sturrock also has Drissa Diallo to call upon after the former Ipswich man recovered from a thigh injury picked up in August but it is expected that he will be on the bench.
