Can Owls find the killer instinct in front of goal on Tuesday?

Sheffield Wednesday travel to Birmingham City on Tuesday with mixed feeling about Saturday's result at Bolton Wanderers. The 0-0 draw extended their unbeaten run on the road this season but their failure to take a number of chances means that it will probably feel like an opportunity missed.

Captain Glenn Loovens is available having served a suspension at Bolton and is likely to replace Kamil Zayatte. Royston Drenthe will be hoping that he did enough in his debut substitute appearance to come into contention for his first Owls start.

Defender Lewis Buxton was on the bench on Saturday having worked his way back from injury but midfield duo Sam Hutchinson and Kieran Lee were not involved and are unlikely to return against the Blues.

Birmingham were pegged back by Leeds in a 1-1 draw at home on Saturday, their third draw of the season so far. They have lost two away games in the Championship but are unbeaten at home with the only league win of the season coming at St Andrews against Brighton.

Former Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson is likely to offer the main threat to the Owls defence while young striker Koby Arthur could be included in the squad having recently been recalled from a successful loan spell at League 2 side Cheltenham due to injuries to a number of players including experienced forward Lee Novak.

The Owls suffered a resounding 4-1 defeat at St Andrews last season but reversed that score line when the two sides last met at Hillsborough in March.
