Wednesday Vs Charlton: Team news & preview

Sheffield Wednesday host Charlton Athletic at Hillsborough on Wednesday evening with Garry Monk's side still looking for their first home win of 2020.

To add to that, the Owls are also still in search of their first home goal of the year, having not scored at Hillsborough for 432 minutes of football.

Steven Fletcher returned to the side as a substitute in the 3-3 draw at Birmingham on Saturday and could be in contention for more game time. Fellow striker Connor Wickham may also be a contender to feature from the start.

Full-back Moses Odubajo is unlikely to return but Morgan Fox could start having featured for the first time in 3 weeks as a substitute at the weekend. Midfielder Massimo Luongo remains sidelined  due to a calf injury while Keiren Westwood and Sam Hutchinson are out of favour.

Charlton are expected to be without experienced midfielder Darren Pratley as he has an ankle injury and Jonny Williams is ruled out due to a back problem. Top scorer Lyle Fletcher has recently returned from an injury lay off and is finding his early season form.

Wednesday have taken only 6 points from their last 11 matches while Charlton have won 3 of their last 5 games including a 3-1 victory over Luton last weekend.

The Owls enjoyed a 3-1 win when the two sides last met at The Valley back in November thanks to a brace from Fletcher and a late Nuhiu header.
