Chelsea youngster stays

Stuart Gray has received a timely boost with the news that Chelsea youngster Sam Hutchinson will stay at Hillsborough for a further 4 weeks. The 24-year-old's initial loan spell came to an end this week but the extension now sees him available for selection until April 9th.

Hutchinson has played much of his career in the right-back or central defensive position but has adopted a central midfield role during his time at Hillsborough to good effect. His exuberant, tough tackling approach has brought some much needed resilience to the Owls midfield though he maybe showed a little naivety in picking up a second yellow card during last weekends defeat at Yeovil.

Wednesday have struggled in central areas in the past month or so with David Prutton being out with a long-term injury, Kieran Lee and Jose Semedo suffering injuries which have forced them to spend a spell on the sidelines and Giles Coke having to play through a painful hand injury.
