Having seen off the potential banana skin that was Southport in the first round of the F.A. Cup on Sunday lunchtime, Sheffield Wednesday have been rewarded with a home fixture against League two side Northampton Town in round two.
The match will take place at Hillsborough during the weekend commencing the 27th of November and with due respect to the side known as the Cobblers, Wednesday should see this as a presentable opportunity to reach the 3rd round of the competition and a potential money earner against one of the so called big boys when the Premier League teams enter the competition.
Northampton, who are currently struggling in 19th place in League Two, won 3-0 at Forest Green in the 1st round.
