Defender faces five week lay-off

Burrows sustained the injury in last week's Worthington Cup clash with Leicester City, although x-rays taken immediately after the game showed no break.

Burrows was sent for further x-rays because he was in so much pain, and these have revealed that he has a non-displaced hairline fracture of the collar bone.

Burrows had been captaining The Owls in the absence of the injured Trond Soltveldt and that responsibility is now expected to be taken on by Danny Maddix.
