The Championship returns to action on Saturday following the international break with Sheffield Wednesday making the trip across the pennines to Bolton Wanderers

Stuart Gray will be forced into a change at centre-back due to the suspension of Glenn Loovens who has picked up 5 yellow cards this season. Loovens is expected to be replaced by either Kamil Zayatte or new signing Claude Dielna.

Elsewhere Lewis Buxton could be closing in on making his first appearance of the season though it is unlikely that Gray will want to make any more changes at the back. Kieran Lee is not expected to be fit and there is no news on whether Sam Hutchinson will be in contention to make a return.

Royston Drenthe will be in the squad and could make his debut following his loan move from Reading.

The home side are without injured defender David Wheater and Liam Trotter is also sidelined. Full-back Kevin McNaughton is hoping to feature and midfielder Mark Davies is close to a return to the fold.

Owen Garvan, who joined on loan from Crystal Palace during the week is expected to make his debut for the home side.

Wednesday will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they lost at home to league leaders Nottingham Forest. The Owls have an impressive 3 wins from 3 so far on the road in league and cup.

Bolton will be looking for their first league win of the season having picked up just one point from 5 games though they have won twice in the League Cup.
