Deon and JJ hopes dashed

The duo should have played at Leyton Orient this weekend for the Reggae Boyz against World Cup 2006 outfit Ghana but that got cancelled.

The Ghana FA then wanted the game to be played in Accra although plans for that were scrapped.

Apparently, when the Jamaican FA contacted Wednesday about the fixtures, they could not confirm to Owls officials where the match would be played, what the training arrangements would entail and other simple requirements would be involved for the duo's release.

London police say they also had insufficient notice of the game and it had to be cancelled because of that fact, despite the Ghana and Jamaica officials trying to search for a last-ditch attempt at finding an alternative venue.
