Duo doubtful for Wolves clash

The Ireland Under-21 skipper Whelan complained of a tight groin after the draw against Preston on Boxing Day while Adams is still feeling the effects of his long-term Achilles injury which has kept him out for the majority of the season.

Paul Sturrock is confident both should play although Craig Rocastle will be waiting to jump in if need be.

Sturrock could also bring back either David Graham or Lee Peacock to the starting line-up tonight - the duo were not fully fit against at Deepdale and came off the bench.

The Owls boss though was impressed with Barry Corr's battling performance on Monday and could be tempted to give him another start.

Despite heavy snow and icy roads round the Hillsborough area, tonight's match will go ahead as planned but the club have urged fans to turn up early.
