Young Magpies complete Owls group.
The final places in each group for the 2021-22 Papa John’s Trophy were confirmed this afternoon with Newcastle United Under 21’s completing the Owls group.
Sheffield Wednesday will face the young Magpies, Harrogate Town and Mansfield Town in the fist stage of the competition with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.
Sunderland are the current holders of the trophy having beaten Tranmere Rovers 1-0 in last seasons final at Wembley in March.
