Folly puts in transfer request

Owls midfielder Yoann Folly looks to be on his way out of S6 having asked the club to place him on the transfer list.

The 22 year-old joined Wednesday in the summer of 2006 from Southampton following a successful loan spell the previous season.

Folly has been no more than a bit part player under Brian Laws this season, often being asked to fill in for injured players in various positions and he has not been able to hold down a starting role in his preferred central-midfield position.

It is believed that the man who signed Folly for Wednesday, Paul Sturrock may be interested in taking him to fellow Coca-Cola Championship side, Plymouth Argyle although Wednesday will be reluctant to sell before lining up a replacement given the shortage of fit players in the squad in all positions at present.
