Fringe players given cup chance

Monk rings the changes for Everton game

Sheffield Wednesday will field a much-changed line-up when they take on Everton in the 3rd round of the EFL Cup tonight.
Cameron Dawson will play in goal, Fox and Thorniley come into the back 4, Murphy, Pelupessy and Luongo get a run out in midfield and Nuhiu starts alongside Winnall in attack.

Everton have made 5 changes to the team that were beaten by Sheffield United in the Premier League last weekend. Manager Marco Silva is coming under increasing pressure due to the stuttering start the Toffees have made to the season and they have a strong starting 11 that includes the likes of Pickford, Mina, Bernard, Digne, Delph, Iwobe and Richarlison.

The Owls will be keen to maintain their unbeaten run since Monk took over as manager earlier in the month and it gives the fringe players a chance to impress against quality opposition.
