Gaffer pleased with point

Official Iain Williamson gave a penalty for the home side for Frankie Simek's clumsy challenge on David Norris although TV replays so far prove the to be inconclusive whether it was a spot kick or not.

But no point moaning - it was a decent point in the end and although The Owls had to rely on a spectacular own goal for their only tally of the game, Sturrock left Home Park Happy.

The Wednesday manager said: "I'm very pleased with the way our players battled - they have stuck their heads in, stuck their feet in, and worked very hard. If you draw away and win your home games, you're going to stay in this league."

On Williamson's performance, Sturrock added: "I would like to discuss the referee, but I can't, so I won't. All I will say is that I hope we have him at home."
