Gilbert doubt for season

The former Plymouth and Leicester left-back has been playing with a torn cartilage for a number of weeks and it finally gave way during the 3-1 victory.

Gilbert was taken off in the early stages of the game and initial doubts could be that he could be ruled out for the season.

He will be seeing a specialist tomorrow to assess the extent of the injury and Sturrock is refusing to rule him out until then.

Fortunately for The Owls, John Hills came back and performed well at left-back after coming on for the unfortunate Gilbert.
