Individual end-of-season reports: Richard Hinds

The defenders season was cruelly cut short in just the second league game of the campaign at Wolves when he sustained a fracture of his left leg.

Hinds rehabilitation took time but was ultimately successful and he returned to the team towards the end of March and managed to play his way into the starting line up at the expense of Mark Beevers.

His run in the side towards the end of the campaign saw him make a total of 14 appearances and at times he looked solid in a well structured back four but he was also prone to one or two lapses which cost the Owls headed goals against Derby and Wolves at Hillsborough.

Given that he has played so few games it is hard to judge his contribution this season but as things stand he does provide healthy competition for places in the back four and his versatility makes him a useful member of what is a small squad.

Overall Verdict: 6.5/10
