Individual end-of-season reports: Sean McAllister

Last updated : 29 May 2009 By C. Morris

The diminutive midfielder has made little more than a handful of starts for the Owls first team prior to this season but 40 league appearances later he has made a name for himself during 2008/09.

What McAllister lacks in size he makes up for in endeavour and adds energy to the midfield with his seemingly tireless effort in providing box to box support.

From a negative point of view he perhaps lacks the creativity to find the killer pass and is maybe not disciplined or tenacious enough to play the holding role but he has however shown that he has the willingness and ability to get into the box and will be looking to add to his return of the goals in 2008/09 if he is given the opportunity next season.

His tidy short passing and high energy can certainly have a positive influence on how the team plays as a whole and he can be happy with his overall contribution during a campaign that has seen him show his value to the squad consistently for the first time.

Overall verdict: 7/10.
