Laws laments Owls thrashing

A late, late goal from Leon Clarke was not enough to spare Wednesday's blushes who were caught in possession too many times and defended sloppily to allow Ipswich to race into an early 3-0 lead.

Laws said: "The only positive to come from eh game was that we drew the second half. I have a lot of work on my hands; I wasn't expecting so many bad performances. We almost capitulated.

"We are a better team than we showed. We have 45 games to go and we must put things right very quickly. I felt sorry for our travelling supporters who saw a performance like this."
