Goals from Deon Burton and Marcus Tudgay gave The Owls a late 2-1 win over The Eagles and got Laws dreaming of a late push for the play-offs.

He said after the game: "I read comments by Peter Taylor before the game saying he wanted to win every game to get into the play-offs. I thought that if he is thinking like that, then why can't we do it? My players are certainly not switching off.

"They are not even thinking about their summer holidays. It's only mathematics - if we can get around 70 points we will be in with a shout. We have to work our socks off to win every game and hope others lose as well. It's very encouraging that we are unbeaten in seven games."

Meanwhile, former S6 favourite Graeme Lee became the first Doncaster captain to lift a cup yesterday after Rovers' 3-2 triumph over Bristol Rovers in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the Millennium Stadium.

Lee missed out playing in Cardiff for Wednesday against his former club Hartlepool two years ago but his extra-time winner gave Sean O'Driscoll's men gave Doncaster their first-ever cup win.
