The Owls striker, who notched his 12th goal of the season on Monday, is in confident mood as Wednesday are nine games unbeaten.

West Brom though are pushing for automatic promotion although their home form has been static recently, losing three from their last four.

But the Scottish star is hoping The Owls' recent run continues as Wednesday head south west for the Sky TV clash tonight.

He told Footymad: "West Brom is going to be a hard game as they are going for the play-offs at least but mainly automatic promotion but then again we are trying to kick on as well. Yes, it will be a hard game but we are confident about going down there and picking up three points.

"Any team can beat another - you look at Birmingham and they have lost to Burnley and Barnsley in successive games so it shows that there's quality teams in this league so everyone can beat each other, meaning you have to be on your toes every time you go on the pitch and if you don't perform then you have every chance of being turned over."

No Steve Watson tonight - the rules of his loan from The Baggies stipulates he cannot play against his parent club so Frank Simek should come back in after serving suspension.

Tommy Spurr could be dropped for the fit-again Peter Gilbert while Brian Laws could also include Jermaine Johnson and Deon Burton is set to be dropped in Brian Laws' forward-line rotation policy.
