MacLean on Town victory

It is a rare occurrence to see Chris Turner’s men win three on the bounce; in fact the victory over The Terriers was the first time it has happened in the manager’s term at Hillsborough.

A narrow 1-0 victory over Wednesday’s Yorkshire rivals on the back on wins at Blackpool and Torquay will hopefully see the ball rolling and make the point to some pessimistic fans that the Colchester defeat was just a bad collective day at the office.

MacLean, who scored the opener at Torquay and the only goal of the game yesterday, was impressive throughout and is happy to see wins on the board.

He told Footymad: “It’s good that I have scored two in two but its more important we have won three games.

“We had a bad start to the season at Hillsborough and three out of three after that game is a good return. It is nice to score but as long as the team wins I’m happy.”

There will be more to come from MacLean tomorrow, and also look out for exclusive chats with Lee Peacock and Jon-Paul McGovern in the next few days.
