Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Filipe Melo has left the Owls on loan today, moving to Pacos De Ferreira until the end of the current season.
The 27-year-old joined Wednesday in early 2015 before current coach Carlos Carvalhal took the job and since the arrival of his fellow Portuguese Melo has hardly featured at all for the first team due to a combination of niggling injuries and other players being ahead of him in the pecking order.
To date Melo has made only 6 first team appearances for the Owls and the move back to his home country should give him more opportunities to play this season.
