Midfield misfit rejects move

Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has revealed his frustration at Kenny Lunt's decision to turn down a loan move before the transfer deadline to an unnamed club.

Laws told the Sheffield Star, "Players make me laugh when they say they just want to play games and when they do get an opportunity to play games, they don't want to go. It really does infuriate me at times."

Lunt played in only three league games for the Owls last season and joined his former club Crewe Alexandra on loan towards the end of the campaign.

He has yet to feature at all this term and is not thought to be in Brian Laws plans. As things stand, he as at best fifth choice for one of two spots in the Owls' central midfield, behind James O'Connor, Sean McAllister, Jimmy Smith and Steve Watson.

Wednesday have been looking to try and offload the player on a permanent basis for some time in order to try and free up some funds to spend on enhancing the team in other areas.
