Mystified Laws on Blues defeat

The Blues had three shots on goal and scored three times although Wednesday squandered countless chances and will feel hard done by to be defeated by a big margin.

Laws said: "It's the biggest travesty I've ever seen in my life. We were the better side and lost. We really took the game to them and I thought we were excellent.

"I can't understand how we haven't scored. But there are a lot of positives to come out of the game and I'll pick the players up."

Mark Crossley and Wayne Andrews both limped off injured but Laws assures supporters that they should be ok for Saturday's game with Southampton.

Goalkeeper Crossley hurt his hamstring and Lee Bullen had to go in goal because Wednesday had used all their three substitutions.
