New date confirmed for Blades clash

Sheffield Wednesday will now visit their bitter city rivals Sheffield United on Tuesday 8th April for a 7.45pm kick-off.

The Coca-Cola Championship clash was originally planned to take place on Saturday 16th February but has been postponed due to the Blades F.A. Cup run.

With league games coming thick and fast in the weeks ahead and the fact that any other midweek possibilities have to be left open for possible cup replays it has not been possible to fit the game in any nearer the intended date and sees the fixture sandwiched in between the Owls early kick-off at Scunthorpe Utd and the return of Paul Sturrock to Hillsborough with his Plymouth side.

Wednesday will travel to Bramall lane looking to further extend the bragging rights held in the city following their 2-0 victory over the Blades at Hillsborough earlier this month.
