Sheffield Wednesday defender Frank Simek has earned a recall to the USA international squad for the forthcoming friendly against Holland.

Simek has been chosen in the 20-man squad by head coach Bob Bradley and could add to his 5 international caps in the match that takes place on Wednesday March 3rd at the Amsterdam Arena.

Having recently returned from long-term injury the right-back has not featured for his country since appearing in the Gold Cup final win over Mexico in June 2007.

Although he has yet to return to the kind of form and consistency that made him a target for Premier League clubs prior to his injury problems Simek is gradually working his way back and he will be hoping to impress in order to make the American World squad with their campaign in South Africa kicking-off against England on June 12th.
