Owls could lose city centre presence

Wednesday fans may soon find themselves without a permanent official Owls retail outlet in Sheffield City Centre in the near future as the Co-operative group announced that it is to close the majority of the non-food operations in its Castle House department store due to strong market competition.

It is unclear whether the City Owls store within the Co-op will suffer full closure as a result of this decision as yet but this is highly possible.

The City Owls store was the main official city outlet for official merchandise following the closure of the Wednesday Gear shop in Orchard square and if it was to close members and season ticket holders wishing to receive merchandise discounts would have to either visit the Owls superstore at the ground itself or shop online.
