Owls in search of away win as Championship action returns

Championship football makes an eagerly anticipated return this weekend following an international break over the Easter period with Wednesday making the short trip to Huddersfield.

Carlos Carvalhal has no major injury concerns to contend with but remains without influential Scotland international midfielder Barry Bannan due to suspension.

Atdhe Nuhiu and Alex Lopez could come into contention to start having come off the bench to good effect in the last match, right-back Jack Hunt will hope to keep his place in the side against the club at which he began his career.

Huddersfield remain without injured midfield duo Kyle Dempsey and Jonanthan Hogg but have new no injury or suspension problems and coach David Wagner is unlikely to want to tinker with his side too much as they enjoyed a 4-1 away win last time out against West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United.

Wednesday have won their last 2 matches and have been much improved away from Hillsborough since the turn of the year, with 3 of their 5 away wins this season coming in the past 3 months, though they have lost 6 times on their travels in the Championship during this campaign.

Huddersfield have been inconsistent of late with 4 wins and 3 defeats in their last 8 matches. They have won 7 and lost 8 of their 19 home matches to date.

Wednesday won an entertaining encounter between the 2 teams 3-1 at Hillsborough back in November and have not lost in their last 4 visits to the Terriers.
