Sheffield Wednesday have allowed Northern Ireland under 21 international striker Caolan Lavery to leave the club on loan and he has taken the chance to join up with League 2 side Plymouth Argyle.

The 21-year-old, who has made a few fleeting appearances as a substitute for the Wednesday first team this season, will stay at Home Park until January 14th 2014 in a bid to gain some much needed first team experience at senior level.

Plymouth are currently managed by former Wednesday legend John Sheridan and the midfield maestro commented that he had been impressed with Lavery's goal scoring form for the Owls development side and he didn't hesitate when the opportunity arose to take him on loan.
