Wednesday in need of a Papa John’s pick me up

Sheffield Wednesday manager Darren Moore has, as expected, shuffled his pack for this evening’s short trip to Mansfield Town in the Papa John’s Trophy.

Only Chey Dunkley, Marvin Johnson and Lewis Wing remain in the starting eleven from the side that lost 2-1 at home to Oxford United at the weekend. Lewis Gibson makes a rare start at the back following a niggling injury lay off, Sow and Corbeanu occupy the wide attacking positions and Berahino and Kamberi are both in the side as well which suggests a 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1 formation.

Wednesday sit top of their group having beaten Newcastle United’s youngsters 3-0 in their opening game of the competition. Mansfield lost their opening tie 1-0 to Harrogate Town and are currently on a run which has seen them fail to win in their last nine attempts in all competitions.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7pm.
