Owls new signing may never play for the club

Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt a blow with the news that one of their summer recruits, Dejan Kelhar, has picked up a serious knee injury and could be out for the remainder of the season.

The Slovenian centre-back spent the summer on trial with the Owls and impressed Stuart Gray enough to seal a short-term contract. He was an unused substitute during last weekends victory at Brighton but has since been for tests which revealed knee ligament damage, apparently caused during the recent pre-season math against Newcastle.

Thankfully Wednesday are currently well-covered in that position with Glenn Loovens and Tom Lees forming a promising early partnership and Kamil Zayatte providing cover.
