Owls offering great value for money next season

Sheffield Wednesday Football Club released their promotional campaign for the sale of 2011/12 season tickets on Monday and with the tickets now on sale, Owls fans can take advantage of some fantastic prices for the forthcoming season.

In line with many other clubs, the Owls released season tickets for the next season during the mid-stage of the current one with early price discount deadlines for the first time last season and whilst stating that it was a PR disaster would be unfair it was far from an unmitigated success. The club’s lowly league position throughout the last campaign hardly helped and the prospect of paying the same price or higher for what always looked like being League One football as fans had previously paid for championship football was far from enticing.

This time around however the club have produced a price structure that offers a wealth of savings with the early bird prices being cheaper than the current season for both new and existing season ticket holders. The stand-out price of £298 for renewing adults on the Kop is equivalent to just under £13 per game for the 23 league games.

These prices will provide supporters with what is effectively 6 free matches in comparison with match-day pricing over the course of the season in League One and will represent even greater value for money if the club achieves its realistic aim of promotion back to the championship at the first time of asking.

Should Wednesday go up then prices will increase by around 20% as soon as promotion is secured. However, supporters who have purchased a season ticket prior to promotion being achieved will not have to pay any extra, meaning that there is all the more reason to sign up before the March 18th deadline in order to maximise the potential savings.

A wide range of discounts are available for various age group from kids to OAP’s and those that are eligible under the community season ticket scheme can now take advantage of this offer in all home areas of the stadium.
