Owls out to bounce back against local rivals

Sheffield Wednesday will look to get the disappointment of their midweek defeat at Burton out of their system in Saturday's lunchtime Yorkshire derby.

The Owls will be boosted by the return from injury of centre-back Tom Lees and new signing Vincent Sasso could also be in the squad if his paperwork is completed in time.

Midfielder David Jones, signed from Burnley in midweek will be in the squad and Fernando Forestieri could come back into the starting line-up after having to make do with a substitute appearance at Burton following his much publicised decision not to travel for the game at Norwich last weekend.

Leeds have added two players this week and both will hope to feature. Defender Pontus Janssson has joined the club from Italian side Torino and midfielder Liam Bridcutt has made the move to West Yorkshire from Sunderland.

Full-back Gaetano Berradi is ruled out with a hamstring injury and so Luke Ayling is likely to continue in the right-back position.

Both sides will feel a little disappointed with their points haul after 3 games with Wednesday having won 1, lost one and drawn 1 while Leeds picked up their first point of the season by salvaging a late draw against Fulham in midweek.

The Owls won this fixture 2-0 last season with Gary Hooper grabbing a 2nd-half brace. The two sides have been fairly evenly matched since Wednesday returned to the Championship in 2012, having each won twice in the 8 matches in which they have met.
