Owls return in Yorkshire derby

Sheffield Wednesday return to action after the international break when they face local rivals HuddersfieldTown at Hillsborough on Saturday.

Wednesday will be without influential midfielder Barry Bannan as he faces a couple of weeks out with a knee injury. Fellow midfielder Sam Hutchinson is also out as he starts a 2-match ban for reaching 10 yellow cards already this season.

Jose Semedo could come into the side and Alex Lopez may return to the squad after a long spell out injured.

Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is expected to be fit as is defender Glenn Loovens but fellow centre-back Michael Turner is not expected to feature despite returning to training after around a month out injured.

New Huddersfield manager David Wagner will take charge of the Terriers for the first time on Saturday. Defender Joel Lynch and striker Ishamel Miller face late fitness tests ahead of the clash. Town signed Ben Chilwell on loan from Leicester this week but the youngster is not expected to feature against the Owls.

Wednesday will be hoping to bounce back from a first defeat in 12 as they attempt to try and keep pace with the top 6 in the Championship. The Owls lost 3-1 at Charlton last time out but they have only been defeated once at home this season.

Huddersfield are without a win in 4 and have only recorded 1 away win in the league to date this season.

The two sides drew both meetings last season and the Owls will be looking to put an end to a run that has seen them fail to beat the Terriers on home soil in their last 5 attempts, of which 3 have ended in defeat.
