Owls say no to Peru striker

The former Derby County star was released from his contract at Pride Park in November and was hoping to make his mark in the 0-0 reserve draw with Rotherham.

But despite the Peruvian striker looking technically sound, boss Paul Sturrock does not think he will do a job at Hillsborough.

Meanwhile, Wednesday have been given only 1000 tickets for the crunch clash with Colchester in March - with the club only accepting postal applications for tickets.

And former Owls stopper Chris Stringer has joined the club's Football in the Community project as a coach.
