Dawson to play on Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday manager Garry Monk has confirmed that Cameron Dawson is set to start in goal for the Owls home game with Birmingham City on Wednesday evening.
Dawson has largely played understudy to Westwood so far this season, coming in for cup games and when the EIRE international has been injured.
Westwood has picked up a shoulder injury but Monk intimated that he may well have been set to make the change anyway. Westwood has been one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship ever since he joined the Owls in 2014 but has come in for some criticism at times this season. He gave away a late penalty at West Brom at the weekend after the Owls failed to clear and the goal saw Wednesday drop points late-on for the 4th game in succession.
