Latics trip for Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday will kick-off their 2018-19 Championship season on the road with a trip to Wigan Athletic on Saturday 4th August.
Wigan won League One last season and so will be hoping to carry some momentum into the new season, as will Wednesday after finishing a difficult campaign in good form.
The following weekend sees Wednesday play their first home game against Hull City while the league season finishes at Hillsborough with a home game against QPR in May. The Owls are away to Middlesbrough on Boxing Day and at home to Birmingham City on New Years Day.
