3rd win in a row for youngsters
Sheffield Wednesday’s Under 18’s side made it three wins in succession on Saturday morning thanks to a 3-0 home win against Hull City. The Owls Under 23 team showed no benefit of having a host of first-team players in their line up in defeat to Sheffield United on Friday but the Under 18 side are showing plenty of improvement without the need for involvement from others.
Having enjoyed away wins against Ipswich and Coventry in the past week, the young Owls continued their winning run against Hull City thanks to a hat-trick from Alex Bonnington.
The result sees the Owls move up to 5th place in the Under 18’s Professional Development League North section. They are within 3 points of 3rd place but are some way behind the top two, Wigan Athletic and Birmingham City.
