Sheffield Wednesday host near neighbours Leeds United in a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday as they bring the curtain down on another season of football at Hillsborough.

With 2 games to go ghe Owls look set for a top half finish in what has been a season of measured progression. Despite the positive league position Wednesday have found goals and wins hard to come by on home soil and so will be looking to send the Hillsborough faithful off in a positive mood from this hotly contested local clash.

Injured trio Claude Dielna, Jose Semedo and Will Keane have returned to training this week and could come into contention though none are expected to be in the starting 11. Player of the season Keiren Westwood was forced to pull out of last weekends entertaining draw at Bournemouth late on but is likely to return to the side.

The likes of Liam Palmer, Kamil Zayatte, Sam Hutchinson and Glenn Loovens all remain sidelined.

Leeds make the short trip to South Yorkshire with doubts over a number of players follwong last weekends debacle when 6 players withdrew from the squad on the eve of the game at Charlton. Defender Giuseppe Bellusci, who scored at the Owls at Elland Road earlier in the season, has a hamstring injury, strikers Mirco Antenucci and Edgar Cani are both struggling with knocks and young starlet Lewis Cook has an ankle injury.

Goalkeeper Marco Silvestri could return from a back injury and defender Aidy White could feature for the first time this season. Former Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp is likely to be involved.

Wednesday have lost only 1 of their last 6 matches and have only been defeated in 1 of their last 9 home games, though the majority of those have resulted in draws.

Leeds have lost 5 matches in a row and regardless of Saturday's result they cannot finish the season above the Owls in the Championship table.

The two sides drew 1-1 at Elland Road in October, while last seasons fixture at Hillsborough will be fresh in the minds of both sets of supporters – the Owls coasted to a 6-0 victory.
