Red Dragons forced to call off clash
Sheffield Wednesday’s latest pre-season game, scheduled for Saturday 24th July against Wrexham, has been postponed due to a spate of COVID related absences at the Welsh club.
The match was set to take place at the Owls Middlewood Road training ground but both clubs confirmed the cancellation via their respective official websites on Thursday. It is hoped that all at Wrexham are able to make a full, quick recovery ahead of the new season.
Wednesday’s pre-season will move on to a clash at Port Vale on Tuesday before their first competitive game of the season, at home to Huddersfield Town in the first round of the League Cup on Sunday 1st August.
