SheffieldWednesday have confirmed that the first steel city derby clash of the 2011/12 season will be screened on a live beam back at Hillsborough Stadium.

Owls fans swooped quickly to snap up the 4,300 away ticket allocation for the Bramall Laneshowdown on October 16th and as a result both Sheffield United and the Football League have agreed to allow the live broadcast.

A large screen will be assembled on the pitch at Hillsborough with Wednesday fans able to purchase tickets to view this from the South Stand. Kick-off on Sunday 16th October is at 12 noon and these tickets will go on sale to members and season ticket holders on Monday 26th September with any remaining seats available on general sale from Wednesday 28th September priced at £10 for adults and £5 concessions.

Owls fans will be hoping that the beam back will prove to be something of a lucky omen as it was in 2009 when theBramall Lanematch was screened live and Wednesday won 2-1 to complete a long overdue double against their city rivals.
