Owls worry over US tour

Tickets have already gone on sale for an all-star game between The Owls and a team comprised of the best players in the North American version of the championship, the United Soccer League.

The Owls will also be on a major football channel in the States and it could be a massive marketing opportunity - the game is currently scheduled to take place in Cary, North Carolina on the 19th of July.

The all-star game is expected to be one of three games Paul Sturrock's men take part in North America but other teams and dates have not been announced as of yet.

All this seems well and good but so far, there is nothing legally in writing to state that Wednesday will be playing in the USL showpiece.

The club is currently advising fans not to book any flight seats, hotels or match tickets until everything has been thoroughly concluded.

Meanwhile, former loanee Mikkel Bischoff has been released from parent club Manchester City and now fans will have to wait and see if the big Dane signs for Wednesday during the summer.
