New man straight in but key players missing

Sheffield Wednesday’s new signing Callum Paterson comes straight into the starting eleven for the home clash with Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

Paterson joined from Cardiff City in midweek and will play alongside Josh Windass in the Owls attack. Wednesday are however without midfield playmaker Izzy Brown and centre-back Dominic Iorfa, with neither player making the squad. Liam Shaw and Fisayo Dele-Bahsiru takes their places in the side.

QPR’s new signing, striker Macauley Bonne, who made the move across the capital from Charlton Athletic this week, starts his Rangers career from the bench.

Wednesday enjoyed a 3-0 victory away to QPR in July and will be looking for a similar result as they try to claw some more points back into the 12 point deduction they suffered for financial breaches. QPR won on their last visit to Hillsborough, a 2-1 victory last season.
