Sheffield Wednesday have moved to bring in another striker on the final day on loan-transfer market for this season.

West Bromwich Albion forward Bartosz Slusarski has joined the Owls for the remainder of the season. The 6'1" marksman has had limited opportunities for the Baggies since joining them at the beginning of this season due to their strength in depth in his position and he has had a spell on loan at Blackpool where he scored one goal from four starts.

The 26-year-old has 2 caps for his native Poland and scored three times in a dozen appearances for their Under-21 side.

Despite his lack of 1st team games Slusarski has been in fine form for the Baggies reserves of late, finding the net 6 times in the last 4 games. Wednesday will hope that he can carry this form into 1st team football to aid their fight to avoid relegation from the Coca-Cola Championship.

The fact that Wednesday have made the move to bring in another striker suggests that Marcus Tudgay and Francis Jeffers could be out for some time due to injury.
