Shaw continued his good form by scoring a hat-trick, with yet more encouraging news for Matt Hamshaw who bagged a brace.

The other goals came from new boy Patrick Collins, Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu, Lewis McMahon and transfer-listed Paul Smith.

Meanwhile, the club are set to released a controversial members scheme for away fans, where loyal supporters who follow The Owls on the road will have to pay for the privilege.

Officials at Hillsborough claim the £10 cost (£7 for concessions) of the card will not go into the Hillsborough coffers but be used for administration purposes.

The thousands of fans who regularly travel up and down England watching Wednesday will have to produce their ID number when purchasing a ticket and even show their card on turnstiles across the country.
