Showunmi stay extended

Bristol City striker Enoch Showunmi is expected to have his loan deal at Sheffield Wednesday extended by another month. The original one-month deal expired after Saturday's draw with local rivals Barnsley at Oakwell but boss Brian Laws seems keen to keep the tall front-man.

Showunmi has made four appearances for the Owls thus far without registering a goal but did provide an assist for the only goal of the game scored by Marcus Tudgay against Cardiff.

It is thought that Wednesday will be looking to do a similar deal with QPR in order to retain the services on midfielder Adam Bolder. His initial loan spell is due to expire at the weekend.
