Sky Blues Vs Owls: Team news

Both occupy places just above the relegation zone and three points would enable either of them to bring a clutch of sides directly above them into the dogfight.

Wednesday will be looking to record three league wins in succession for the first time this season and have no new injury concerns following the midweek victory at Colchester.

Long-term injury victims Frank Simek and Steve Watson are likely to be given another run out in the reserves next week before being considered for first team action but loan midfielder Adam Bolder returns to the squad following a two-match ban.

Boss Brian Laws must choose whether to recall Bolder to the starting line-up or stick with Sean McAllister in central midfield. The youngster has impressed with his energy since coming on just before half-time in the victory over QPR and has been heavily involved in two of the four goals that the Owls have scored in the past two games.

Despite enduring a physical battle in the 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United in midweek, Coventry players are believed to have recovered from any knocks sustained and have no new injury concerns.

Chris Coleman added to his squad following the game at Bramall Lane by signing Manchester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmiechel on loan and he is likely to make his debut, replacing Andy Marshall between the sticks.

Coventry are unbeaten in their last 5 home outings in the league but did suffer a crushing 5-0 defeat in the F.A. Cup at home to West Brom during this spell.

Wednesday's record at Coventry in recent times does not make great reading, they have lost on both visits to the Ricoh Arena and their last victory at the home of the Sky Blues came in October 1995, a 1-0 win at Highfield Road.
