Sheffield Wednesday have announced their official squad numbers for the 2011/12 season on their website, www.swfc.co.uk and the gaps highlight the areas that manager Gary Megson will be hoping to address before the season kicks-off in just one weeks time.
It is no secret that Megson is looking to add more attacking prowess to his squad and this has perhaps been highlighted that numbers 8, 9 and 10 have not been allocated to any of the current squad.
Wednesday have been linked to a number of wide midfielders and strikers this summer including Danny Green, Lloyd Dyer, Gary Roberts, Chris O’ Grady and Neil Mellor but as things stand they have not had any success in adding attacking players and the squad is very thin on numbers in this sense.
