Stars issue Posh warning - exclusive

As Wednesday have an uphill task to secure an automatic promotion place, consolidating their place in the play-offs is imperative while The Posh are fighting for their lives at the bottom of league one.

But The Owls have come unstuck against such opposition in the past and defender Lee says that the mentality has to be right as the club aim to follow up the Chesterfield victory with another three points.

He told Footymad: “They are a difficult team as you have seen them get results away from home at places like
Hull so it is imperative that we go into that game with the right attitude. If we show the sort of attitude like we did against Chesterfield and play the same way then it should put us in good stead to win the game.”

Goalkeeper Lucas meanwhile says that there is more hard work to come from Wednesday and is treating every game from now until May as a cup final.

He says: “If people think we have done the hard work now after bouncing back from the
Bradford defeat by winning at Chesterfield then we are wrong.

“They are all tough matches at this stage of the season because all the games we have from now until the end of the season will tell us if we can keep in the play-offs or not or even push up higher in the table. We do put a lot of pressure on ourselves though to win and I am sure teams do that when they come to Hillsborough.”
